EOC GROUP receives the UNITAR-certificate for sustainable entrepreneurship

On October 27th, during the Voka-Day Sustainable business 2020,  EOC received the UNITAR-certificate "SDG Pioneer" as one of the first 100 companies in Belgium. This is an international recognition for sustainable entrepreneurship based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of SDG's of the UN.

With more than 20 years of experience, the Voka Charter for Sustainable Entrepreneurship (VCDO) offers companies a guideline for giving concrete form to sustainable business. There are no fewer than 196 companies, from all different sectors, that have already participated in this charter since 1997. The VCDO helps companies to anchor sustainable entrepreneurship in the company DNA and to achieve the sustainability goals. The participating company uses an action plan to work on business operations that are profitable for the company as well as for the people, the environment and society.

The actions that the company carries out are part of the 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. These actions will be carried out within one year. The participating companies can count on tips and tailor-made advice. At the end of the action year, the actions are evaluated by a team of independent experts, representatives from various government departments, external experts and representatives from the business world. The goal is to obtain a holistic view from multiple angles and to provide valuable advice to the participating company.

Companties that implent actions within each of the 17 SDGs for at least 3 consecutive years receive the internationally recognized SDG Pioneer certificat from UNITAR CIFAL Flanders.   https://www.voka.be/vcdo  https://cifal-flanders.org
