Senior Business Controller

Join our dynamic Finance team and play a key role in driving business excellence and continuous improvement. Working from our office in Oudenaarde (BE) you will be responsible for preparing, developing, and analysing management accounting information. As a Business Controller, you will provide critical financial insights, collaborate with international teams, and contribute to strategic decision-making.

Tasks:

• Implement and develop a full production cost approach in collaboration with Operations and R&D. Experience in full costing is a plus.
• Conduct operating expenses budget and monthly actuals (gap analysis).
• Perform detailed margin analysis in close cooperation with the Sales Director and Purchasing department (actual vs. budget/forecast).
• Act as a sparring partner for various stakeholders in the company (Operations, Sales, etc.).
• Follow up on and develop various projects in collaboration with management.
• Oversee inventory, assess slow-moving and obsolete stock, and take necessary actions.
• Work closely within the Business Control team (3+ colleagues) to define and improve best practices and enhance processes.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement (AI) by refining financial reporting, improving data accuracy, and maximizing operational efficiency.
• Calculate scenarios, business cases, and working capital impact for decision-making.
• Initiate, monitor, and improve KPIs such as stock risks.

Profile:

• Master’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience in a production controlling environment is a plus.
• Strong project follow-up and management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, team spirit, and enthusiasm for working in an international network.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Financial or Business Controller.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with financial control tools, techniques, and processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel: pivot tables, functions, data query) and ERP systems (SAP knowledge is a strong plus).
• Fluent in English (both written and verbal).
• Willingness to work in an international organization and communicate across all levels.
